"The Marios Fight Back" is the seventeenth live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "The Fire of Hercufleas."
Plot[]
At Mario Bros. Plumbing, Mario and Luigi are visited by David Horowitz, host of the television show Fight Back! With David Horowitz. They claim that their clog cleaner, the Mario Brothers Clog Cleaner, can unclog any sink in three minutes or less. David Horowitz wants to see if this is true. After they prepare the sink they toss in some of their clog cleaner in spite of David thinking they're using too much. The clog cleaner starts working and Mario carelessly tosses his tools knocking David out.
With David out cold and their three minutes almost up, the Marios get desperate: the sink is still clogged. They toss in some of their own recipe of plant food, the Mario Brothers Plant Food, hoping for the best result. Mario and Luigi then leave to get some food.
While the Mario Bros. are gone, David wakes up and finds that a monster is growing out of the sink. He touches the monster and is attacked. Later, the Marios come back and find that David is gone but are unaware of the monster that has now grown to more human proportions. They find that the sink is unclogged and make a quick advertisement for their clog cleaner just before they discover the monster they created.
Trivia/Goofs[]
- Even though the monster is supposedly created by the plant food, it doesn't look anything like a plant.
