The Goonie Coast Isn't Clear! is the second level of World 3 in Yoshi's Island DS, a Pink Yoshi takes control in this level. This level takes place on a beach with many pirate ships manned by Pirate Guys and armed with Bill Blasters on the ready. Hence the level's name, there are many Goonies flying through the open skies, this level also marks the debut of Bloopers, Boss Basses, and Bullet Bills. This level also autoscrolls all throughout requiring Yoshi to keep moving as he progresses and make quick movements to avoid falling behind.
Walkthrough[]
Starting off the level, as the level moves, advance to the right collecting Coins as you move along the path, from here, hop onto the boat and beat the Pirate Guy and Tube Guy here, from here, hop onto the island and hit the Fly Guy above to grab it's Red Coin, kill the Piranha Plant at the island's end and jump to the next set of boats. Around the boats are Pirate Guys and Tube Guys, beat these pests and jump by one of the boat flags to reveal a hidden Winged Cloud, hit it to obtain some Stars and continue to the right, avoid the Cheep Cheeps as you reach the Stork Stop, tag the Stork Stop to switch to Baby DK (if you haven't already) and climb the vine to reach the ship's head (hopping to collect the Smiley Flower by the neck as you do) (you can still reach the ship with other babies via the Flatbed Ferry but it is trickier as it does require some waiting).
Note: As you get on the ships, there are several routing paths you can take on the masts and the decks, due to the level's scrolling nature, you typically are only able to take one path, below will list all the ideal paths to take which contain the key collectibles.
Upon reaching the ship's "head" advance to the right and remain on the deck watching out for the Pirate Guy Stacks as you go, from here, drop down the flooring and move to the right corner to reveal a hidden Winged Cloud, hit it to get another Smiley Flower, from here, hop up the thin mast and grab the Red Coin atop it (or toss an egg at it), from here, advance to the right and hit the ! Switch to activate the switch blocks, run across them and collect the Coins and Red Coin, hit the Winged Cloud at the path's end to get yet another Smiley Flower, once done, hop up to the Donut Lifts before the switch blocks deactivate and jump the next ship from here, watch out for the Pirate Guys and Pirate Guy Stacks (Baby DK's egg tosses can make quick work of these pests) and jump to the mast, from here, grab the two Red Coins here, you can climb the vine if you want to (there is a hidden Winged Cloud containing Stars by the ship's flag), once this is done, drop down to the decks and ground pound the two Stakes, there are Red Coins hidden inside these Stakes, after they've been ground pounded, advance to the right and tag the Stork Stop to switch to Baby Peach, use her abilities to float with the wind.
As the screen scrolls and as you glide across the skies, collect the numerous Coins, three of these Coins at the top near the end are Red Coins, additionally, there is also a Smiley Flower at the end so be sure to collect this too (also watch out for the Goonies near the end), (if you decide to take the lower path for whatever reason, you will have to swim across waters with Bloopers constantly hopping out, additionally there are also Bullet Bills being fired out of a Bill Blaster on the island as well as Pirate Guys and Tube Guys to watch out for). Once you reach the boat, hop by the flag to reveal another Winged Cloud, collect the Coins that pop out and beat the remaining Pirate Guys and from here, advance to the next area.
Upon entering the next area, tag the Middle Ring and collect the Stars (or Coins) that emerge from the Tube Guys and Pirate Guys in the area, from here, hop onto the boat and jump by the flag to reveal yet another hidden Winged Cloud, once hit, it will reveal some Stars (or Coins if you have 30 Stars) for you to collect, once you collect these, beat the Piranha Plants and Pirate Guys on the small island and tag the Stork Stop here (but don't switch out if you're already Baby Peach because you still need her), hit the ! Switch to activate the wind from the Pipe on the island and use the wind to glide in the air and collect the Coins, (the four Coins closest to the top center are Red Coins (if you lose momentum, hop on the Goonies and collect the Coins this way but be sure to stay ahead of the scrolling screen)). From here, drop down to the boat below, beat the Pirate Guys, and hit the Baron Von Zeppelins as they're carrying a Spring Ball and a Large Spring Ball respectively, use either Spring Ball to reach the Donut Lifts above (there is also a hidden Winged Cloud in the ship's "neck" containing some Stars (but you will have to act quickly to get this one due to the scrolling screen), once you reach the ship, tag the next Stork Stop on a platform above and switch to Baby DK, from here, advance to the right onto the ship's deck and watch out for the Needlenose Plant below, from here, climb the vine and hit the Winged Cloud by the ship's flag to get a Key, also be sure to watch out for the Bullet Bills, from here, drop down and smash the Box in the small ship-pit to get some Stars. After this, hop across the Donut Lifts to reach the next ship.
Once you hit the deck, collect some eggs from the Egg Plant on this ship, from here, advance to the right and switch to Baby Peach at the next Stork Stop, once done, continue moving to the right and once the lower path comes into view, drop down and grab the Baby Peach Coin and use the Key you obtained earlier to enter the door below.
Once below-decks, hop up to in the center-parting to reveal a hidden Winged Cloud which contains a 1-Up, from here, drop down and jump to the top right platform in the corner and hop up to the corner of the platform to reveal a hidden Winged Cloud which contains a ! Switch, hit the switch to turn all the Dash Coins in the area into Coin, collect all these Coins and jump to the top left platform in the corner to reveal another Winged Cloud, this one contains a Key which is needed to enter the door to the right where you can play a minigame (Bouncy Maze), once done, move to the left and tag the Middle Ring before exiting the room through the door.
Once you're back above decks, grab the Smiley Flower by the door (the screen won't start scrolling again until you jump to the upper ledge), once you jump to the ledge and grab the Red Coin, from here, hop up the mast and toss an egg above to reveal a Large Spring Ball, use it to reach a higher area in the clouds, in this area, there is a ! Switch which makes all the Coins visible (none of these Coins are Red Coins but they are useful for earning extra lives), tag the Morph Bubble to switch to the Yoshi Helicopter and collect all the Coins, once you've gotten everything, exit the area through the Pipe to the right.
Once you return to the ship, advance to the right whilst avoiding the remaining Bullet Bills and Pirate Guy Stacks, from here, move to the right and descend down the path and hop to the stone slab in the water (also beat the Pirate Guy on it), hit the Egg Block to fill up your supply but be sure to jump off it as the slab starts to slowly sink in the water after you stand on it, from here, hit the Baron Von Zeppelins in the sky holding 1-Ups but be sure to watch out for the Grenade-carrying Baron Von Zeppelins (be sure to stay out of the water and make leaps on the slabs, a Boss Bass is patrolling the waters here and it would love to eat you). Hit the Winged Cloud in this area to raise all the stone slabs and collect the final three Red Coins along them (there is also a 1-Up-containing hidden Winged Cloud on the lowest slab to the right), once you reach the upper ledge, move with the screen to the right and watch out for the Pirate Guy, Pirate Guy Stack, and the Bill Blaster firing Bullet Bills as you move towards the level's end. Once done, jump through the GOAL! Ring to finish the level.
Baby Coin Location[]
On the final ship (the one with the Egg Plant at the beginning), tag the Stork Stop and switch to Baby Peach, once you do, move with the screen to the right and upon passing the lowest Bill Blaster, wait for the lower decks to come into view as the screen scrolls revealing the Baby Peach Coin, drop down to the ledge to grab the Baby Coin.

Trivia[]
- Once you beat the level, all on-screen enemies turn into Coins but some of the Goonies in the sky continue flying even after the GOAL! Ring has been jumped through.
