The tennis racket is a sporting equipment that appears in Mario Tennis series and serves as a mechanic. They also appear in the Super Smash Bros. series as Peach and Daisy's forward smash.
Description[]
Tennis rackets are made of steel, aluminium and carbon fibre. Every character who has the racket has a unique design. Tennis rackets are used to hit the tennis ball when playing the game and characters can perform different styles.
In the Mario Tennis series[]
Tennis rackets appear in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64. Every playable character has their unique racket and uses it during the game.
Non-canon appearances[]
Super Smash Bros. series[]
Tennis racket appeared Super Smash Bros. Melee. Due to Peach's presence, the tennis racket appears along with the golf club and frying pan. The tennis racket is the weakest of the three and does not KO the opponent unless it is at a high percentage. As a weapon for Peach's forward smash, it varies with the other two objects. Tennis racket appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl without changes on Peach's forward smash.
Tennis racket appeared Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. Peach's forward smash will cycle among with the two objects. The tennis racket's sourspot deals more damage while its sweetspot deals less knockback.

The tennis racket reappears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Peach and her echo fighter, Daisy uses their tennis racket in their forward smash. The forward smash no longer cycles weapons allowing Peach and Daisy to choose weapons. In the World of Light, there are spirit battles where the Puppet Fighter favours smash attacks which the Puppet Fighter of Peach and Daisy will always use the tennis racket when performing the forward smash. On Patch 3.1.0, their forward smash deals more knockback.
