Tap-Tap

A Tap-Tap (カチカチくん, KachiKachi-kun^?) is an enemy featured in the Yoshi platforming games. Tap-Taps first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Behavior[]

Tap-Taps are metallic spiky creatures that make clicking sounds while walking, hence their name. Tap-Taps are invulnerable to standard attacks, and even using an egg does not defeat Tap-Tap but merely just knocks it backwards, stunning it briefly. If a Yoshi sticks its tongue out at a Tap-Tap, it is pushed back slightly. The only way to defeat a Tap-Tap is by either knocking it into another Tap-Tap, rolling a Chomp Rock onto it, or from using certain Special Items.
