Mario Party

Tally Me Banana is a Donkey Kong mini-game in Mario Party 6.

Layout[]

Tally Me Banana takes place in a tropical area. There is a circle-shaped pool in the center, surrounded by a white, circle-shaped wooden bridge. To the upper-right is a bridge made of brown wood that leads to a different platform with two palm trees. There are also large palm tree leaves from both the bottom and the sides of the screen. Behind the circle-shaped bridge is a flat, white bridge with a DK Barrel on the left and right sides each as well as a red-and-yellow checkered flag bearing the "DK" emblem. The Blooper from Blooper Scooper can be seen at the top-left corner of the screen, where Donkey Kong can also be seen standing on a wooden raft.

Opening[]

Donkey Kong jumps on a barrel and collects a banana, which he eats before stowing the peel away behind him.

Gameplay[]

The characters have to jump on the barrels scattered throughout the pool to collect as many bananas as possible. If a character misses a barrel and lands in the water, they cannot perform any other action for the remainder of the mini-game. It is possible for them to land back onto the bridge after hopping from some barrels before continuing to jump from barrels. Most barrels contain a single banana, though some contain Banana Bunches, which are worth five bananas. Any opponent who has fallen into the water can be bounced on by the others as if they were a barrel.

Controls[]

  • Control Stick: Move
  • A Button: Jump
