Super Mario Land is a microgame in 9-Volt's Nintendo Classics level in WarioWare: Get It Together!

Layout[]

The microgame features a scenario from its namesake Game Boy game, Super Mario Land, which it is based on. The first level takes place in World 1-1, the second level takes place in World 3-1, and the third level takes place in World 4-1.

In two-player mode, two more Brick Blocks are placed to the right of the ? Block in Level 2, while an extra Brick Block is placed directly under the ? Block in Level 3.

Gameplay[]

The object is to hit a ? Block as well as collect a power-up item if the ? Block releases one. When the player wins the microgame, Mario makes an appearance, jumping up and down. If the player does not meet the objective on time, they lose.

  • Level 1: The area is spacious and the ? Block is located in the middle of the screen. The player's character has to simply hit the ? Block, which releases a coin.
  • Level 2: The character starts on a high platform, and the ? Block is located next to a Brick Block. The ? Block releases a Super Mushroom which the player has to collect after hitting the block.
  • Level 3: There are several Warp Pipes, and the ? Block is located to the very right among some Brick Blocks. The ? Block releases a Super Star, which the player has to collect before it falls into the pipe after hitting the block.

The two characters on the highest suitability tier are Orbulon and Penny. Orbulon is a fit because he can use his Oinker's tractor beam to hit the ? Block and draw in the power-up item. Penny is a good fit because the water from her Jet Tank One covers a wide enough range to hit the ? Block and retrieve the power-up item that emerges from it. Meanwhile, 18-Volt is on the lowest suitability tier due to his lack of mobility, and 18-Volt can only retrieve the item by firing his disc at it.

In two-player mode, whoever hits the ? Block in Level 1 or gets the power-up item in Levels 2 or 3 receives an effort point.
