Super Mario Bros. & Friends: When I Grow Up is a Mario-themed digital coloring game for the MS-DOS. It is aimed toward younger audiences. Super Mario Bros. & Friends: When I Grow Up was released in 1992 in America, and was developed by Brian A. Rice, Inc. and published by Merit Software. The game doubles as edutainment as it teaches about various real-world careers.
The game features some animated sequences in it - most of which are on common careers, such as Judge, Copper, Waiter, etc. The game includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, various Toad, and Bowser (albeit in his video game/cartoon form). Some of the careers that Mario takes on, such as Dr. Mario, are from other Mario, whereas aliases such as Farmer Mario are exclusive to the game.
Although it is a Mario game, there are still some The Legend of Zelda cameos, such as Link in the "Chef/Waiter" and "Travel Guide" pages, a Bot in the "Medical Doctor / Nurse" page, and both a Moblin and Daira in the "Teacher" page.
