Speech[]
In the Japanese version of Super Mario All-Stars, the audio where all the characters are talking before the title screen illuminates up is different than in North America and Europe.
Titular differences[]
Japan | International |
---|---|
The Japanese version has the name as "Super Mario Collection" while the international versions have it normal. Also, when the START button is pressed in the Japanese version while the title screen is still in black, it immediately leads the player to the game selection screen. In the other versions, the title screen turns bright for a few seconds and then leads the player to the game selection screen.
Screen switch[]
In the Japanese version, when the player presses start before the title screen illuminates and all the characters are talking in the darkness, the screen instantly switches to the game selection screen, unlike the North American and European where it shows the illuminated title screen for a few seconds and then goes to the game selection screen.
