WarioWare

Super Mario 64 DS is the boss microgame of 9-Volt's stage in WarioWare: Move It!, based on the Nintendo DS game of same name. It uses the Scales form for its gameplay.

Layout[]

In the singleplayer version of the microgame, Mario is at the top of the slide and must make his way down to the bottom. The slide in question depends on the difficulty level.

Gameplay[]

The object is for Mario to go down a slide and collect the Power Star at the end of the course. The microgame uses the Scales form, so the player can control Mario's direction by tilting left or right. While there are Coins that can be collected along the way, collecting them has no practical effect on gameplay. When Mario reaches the end, a Power Star descends to him, and Mario collects it, and the player wins the microgame. If Mario falls off the course, the microgame ends in a loss.

In multiplayer, the second player controls Luigi, and when the player reaches the end, a Silver Star (albeit without eyes) descends to the Bro. controlled by the player who reached the goal second instead of a Power Star.

Difficulty levels[]

Each of the difficulty levels feature a different slide area from Super Mario 64 DS. The goal room at the end also differs between difficulty levels, and none of them are present in the original game.

  • Level 1: The microgame takes place in The Princess's Secret Slide, and the goal room is inside the screen of a giant Game Boy Advance. The slide is easy to navigate.
  • Level 2: The microgame takes place in Slip Slidin' Away. It is possible to take the shortcut like in the actual game, but Mario gets to the slide's last turn immediately. The course is slightly harder to navigate. Two giant Wii Motion Plus inside Wii Remotes frame the entrance to the goal.
  • Level 3: The microgame takes place in Mysterious Mountainside. The course is trickier to navigate, with a trick path. The goal room is inside of a giant Nintendo DS's touch screen.
