The Super Giant Spiked Ball is a ginormous-sized Spiked Ball that is even larger than a Giant Spiked Ball found in New Super Mario Bros. 2. It is powerful enough to destroy anything it comes into contact with and will power-down Mario/Luigi if he comes into contact with it so evasion is very important.
History[]
New Super Mario Bros. 2[]
A Super Giant Spiked Ball appears in New Super Mario Bros. 2 appearing exclusively in World Mushroom-Castle. It is encountered twice in the level as it slowly chases Mario/Luigi through the stone corridors destroying the flooring as it moves along the path. The Super Giant Spiked Ball is rolling along a ground of Spikes as it destroys the tiles. If the plumbers make contact with the Super Giant Spiked Ball, they will take damage and likely fall down to the Spikes below for an impending doom. As the Super Giant Spiked Ball chases the plumbers down the hallway, it destroys many objects and enemies as well such as the flooring, Blocks, Question Blocks, Brick Blocks, Dry Bones, Super Dry Bones, Thwomps, Super Thwomps, Whomps, and Big Whomps. Upon reaching the hallway's end each time, the Super Giant Spiked Ball will descend into the pit below, as it is constantly chasing the plumbers down the hallway, they must use heaps of dashes, jumps, and other skills to keep as much distance between them and the Super Giant Spiked Ball as possible. The Super Giant Spiked Ball can only be destroyed with the effects of the Starman or the Invincibility Leaf. If destroyed, the plumbers can freely traverse the corridor at any pace they wish without the threat of the Super Giant Spiked Ball crushing them.
Trivia[]
