Super Dive

Super Dive is a move in the Mario Baseball series. It first appears in Mario Superstar Baseball, in which it is named Sliding Catch, and returns in Mario Super Sluggers under its current name.

Description[]

Super Dive is a fielding move that allows the character to dive a distance to catch a ball. Super Dive only sometimes activates, and it is signified by a sparkling light surrounding the fielder's baseball glove body and a sound effect.

In Mario Superstar Baseball, Super Dive can be used by either Mario, Princess Daisy, Wario, Koopa, Shy Guy, Dry Bones, Noki, or Toadette. In Mario Super Sluggers, only a few characters can perform a Super Dive, specifically Daisy, Shy Guy, and Baby Daisy, the latter being the only character who newly receives the ability, because Baby Daisy is a newcomer.
