The sunglasses vendor is a Pianta character who appears in Super Mario Sunshine.

The sunglasses vendor's main location is under an umbrella on the beach area of Delfino Plaza. He also appears in most of the courses, except Noki Bay and Sirena Beach. In the first course, Bianco Hills, the sunglasses vendor is found at the start.

If Mario has retrieved at least 30 Shine Sprites, he can talk to the sunglasses vendor for the Sunshine Shades, which slightly darken the display. Later, after Mario has defeated Bowser in Corona Mountain, he can talk to the sunglasses vendor to wear the Sunshine Outfit, a light blue shirt with Shine Sprite patterns. Both items serve only a cosmetic purpose, so Sunglasses vendor does not have an essential role in the game.

If Mario talks to the sunglasses vendor a second time after receiving the Sunshine Outfit and/or Sunshine Shades, he can return them to the sunglasses vendor.

Physical description[]

The sunglasses vendor wears a green Hawaiian-like shirt with white patterns on them, a pair of sunglasses, and a hat. The sunglasses vendor himself has yellow skin and a black mustache.
