The Sunflower Kids are sunflowers found in the beach area of Pinna Park in Super Mario Sunshine. Their guardian is a giant sunflower named the Great Sunflower.

In Pinna Park, the Sunflower Kids are featured in Episode 4: The Wilted Sunflowers. Here, the Snooza Koopas are destroying the roots of the Sunflower Kids and the Great Sunflower, causing them to wilt. Whenever Mario defeats a Snooza Koopa, the Sunflower Kid near it is no longer wilted. When Mario defeats the last Snooza Koopa, the Great Sunflower is restored, and it happily rewards Mario a Shine Sprite.

Sunflower Kids have the appearance of a regular sunflower but with black eyes with white pupils and black freckles.
