Stretch Plants are rubber bulb-shaped plants which appear in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are also named Rubbery Bulbs due to their bulb-like appearance.

Description[]

A Stretch Plant can be spun into, upon which it stretches out in the opposite direction, either to break stuff or to attack a boss or an enemy. After flinging forward, the Stretch Plant flings back into place. If Mario or Luigi gets hit by the rebound, they get knocked over and lose about 13 Star Bits, although they do not take damage. However, if an enemy collides with a Stretch Plant, Mario will not lose Star Bits upon getting beaned.
