Stretch Blocks (or Stretch Platforms), are blocks collected of five parts that always increase and decrease vertically or horizontally, in some cases rotate between the two. They first to be seen in Super Mario World, where they work for as bridges in exact levels, and they are also comprise blocks that take after pale-colored versions of Rotating Blocks.

Stretch Blocks also to be seen in some World-e levels in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3: Slip Slidin' Away and Rich with Ropes. In the game, they actually use the same color from Super Mario World.

Stretch Blocks reappear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where they appear at the end of World 9-2. In the game, they are colored orange and go up or down as they increase and decrease.

Stretch Blocks make their most recent appearance in New Super Mario Bros. U in Rock-Candy Mines as an basic fragment of navigating; themselves are red and blue, and they will increase or decrease turn on which colored switch is hit. They also appear in few levels with their New Super Mario Bros. Wii appearance. This time, however, they wink before they will increase or decrease.

Stretch Blocks debut in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Mushroom Kingdom U stage. They have the same exact behavior as in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U. Stretch Blocks to be seen in the Acorn Plains of the game.
