Yoshi Paper Mario

A Stilt Guy is a variant of Shy Guy that moves around on a pair of stilts. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and most commonly appear in the Yoshi franchise, but Stilt Guys have also made a few appearances in the Mario franchise.

They can't be harmed by licking them, but it will push them away. An egg won't harm them if it hits the stilts as well, however it will cause the Shy Guy to slide down the stilts though. An attack to the Stilt Guy itself will cause it to fall off the stilts, turning it into a Shy Guy. A Stilt Guy also discards its stilts if eaten by a Yoshi and turned into an egg.

Yoshi's Island DS[]

Red Stilt Guy YIDS

Stilt Guys return as enemies, behaving identically as before, and one of the bosses is a giant, mechanical Stilt Guy named Big Guy the Stilted. A difference from before is that Stilt Guys have stilts of varying lengths, with the longest taking up both screens of the Nintendo DS.

If Baby Bowser spits a fireball on the stilts without defeating the Stilt Guy, it bumps down to the middle of the stilts' length.
