The Steward is a boss who appears in Luigi's Mansion 3. He is an employee of the hotel, is the first boss of the first main area and is overall, the very first boss of the game.

Profile

Physical description

The Steward appears to be a tall blue ghost. He wears magenta-colored bellhop clothes which includes a magenta bellhop hat and a magenta bellhop suit with blue shoulderpads as well as blue and gold striped ends on his sleeves. In the lobby, he was wearing a purple mask behind his table. He will ask the player if they want to check in. He will also lead Luigi and the others to the fifth floor with Hellen Gravely.

Battle

The battle with Steward is similar the the Poltergeists from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. His main and only attack is lugging suitcases towards the player by first grabbing a near-by suitcase, slowly walking towered Luigi and throwing one at them. The Steward holds the suitcase above his head, so he cannot be stunned with the Strobulb. To defeat Steward, Luigi must stun him with the Strobulb when Steward does not have a suitcase on him, Luigi can also use the Vacuum jump to force Steward to drop a suit case.

As a comedic gag, after Steward is defeated, he gets sucked into the Poltergust 5000, although not before grabbing back his hat before being sucked in.

Trivia

• Steward, alongside Director Morty, King Boo and Hellen Gravely are the only boss ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 3 that will talk to the player, although Steward only talks to them when he is in his disguise.
• Steward is the first and only boss of Luigi's Mansion 3 to not have any form of powers, abilities and/or weapons aside from lugging suitcases at the Player, making him the weakest boss of the game.
• Steward is the first and only boss in Luigi's Mansion 3 who gives them two elevator buttons after beating him.
