A Star Skill is a special move usable by team captains in the Mario Baseball series. Star Skills first appear in Mario Superstar Baseball and reappear in Mario Super Sluggers. They are the equivalent of Power Shots from the Mario Tennis series.
In Mario Superstar Baseball, characters use the same Star Skill while either batting or pitching, whereas in Mario Super Sluggers, they are given separate Star Skills for pitching or batting. Several characters retain their Star Skill for pitching, but some were given a different one.
