Squishy block

Squishy blocks are an object in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Description[]

Squishy blocks are pinkish-orange block platforms. If a Yoshi pushes a squishy block, he can move it. When a squishy block is pushed against a wall, it squishes against it, growing taller and thinner. If a squishy block is ground-pounded, the opposite occurs. Squishy blocks can be used to travel over spikes.

Squishy blocks are uncommon, and they appear in only three levels: Chomp Rock Zone, Sluggy the Unshaven's Fort, and King Bowser's Castle. In Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, there is a unique transparent squishy block in Endless World of Yoshis.
