The Sprixie Princesses are rulers of the Sprixie Kingdom. Bowser kidnapped the Sprixie Princesses during the events of Super Mario 3D World.
According to the Soundtrack, the Green princess is the sole princess, while the rest are her followers.
In Super Mario 3D World
The Sprixie Princesses make their debut in Super Mario 3D World. In the opening, the green Sprixie Princess (ruler of World 1) comes out of a clear pipe in the Mushroom Kingdom and warns Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Blue Toad|Toad that Bowser has taken control of the Sprixie Kingdom and kidnapped the other princesses. She herself was the only one who escaped his wrath. Bowser follows her through the Clear Pipe and kidnaps her, taking her to the Sprixie Kingdom as Mario and his gang pursues him.
Every Sprixie is first trapped in the final castle level of each World. When one is freed, she will take out either a wrench or hammer the same colour she is, shake it, and craft a clear pipe to the next world. This stops at World Castle, where the gang goes after Red Sprixie Princess, only to be captured all at once by Bowser. Using their combined power, he creates both World Bowser and the sparkling pipe that leads to it.
After Meowser is defeated, the Sprixie Princesses break out of their jar. Then they all go to World 1, where they craft a spaceship to World Star from a rock. They will then go back to the castles in their respective Worlds and simply flutter around them.
In Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
The green Sprixie Princess appears as an unlockable character in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Template:NoncanonThe Sprixie Princesses made their Super Smash Bros series debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a support spirit. The player must use Wanda and Princess Shokora's cores to summon the spirit. Their effect provides their user with a fairy bottle that can restore damage if the user is at high-enough damage; referencing Bowser trapping the Sprixie Princesses in a bottle from Super Mario 3D World.

Trivia
- Due to the alternate exits in Worlds 1 and 4, you can skip saving the Green and Orange Sprixies entirely. If this is done, there will only be 5 Sprixies in World Castle and Bowser will only kidnap the 5 present. This also affects the cutscene where the Sprixies craft the Spaceship.
- The Sprixie Princesses' color schemes represent the respective colors that collectively compose white light.
- Their colour scheme is similar to the Eight Humans in Undertale.
