The Sprite Bulb is a creature from Mario & Luigi: Brothership.
Description[]
Sprite Bulbs are fairylike creatures that resemble light bulbs. They are yellow in colour and have eyes that resemble the filament of a lightbulb.
In Mario & Luigi: Brothership[]
In the field, Sprite Bulbs can be revealed from glowing bushes and will fly around aimlessly until their obtainment. Sprite Bulbs give out Spark Balls from their high Lumenade content, which can be used to craft Battle Plugs. Connecting an island to Shipshape Island reveals Sprite Bulbs coming from certain flowers.
Spite Bulbs[]
When a Sprite Bulb is disconnected from Connectar sources for prolonged periods of time, it runs the risk of becoming a Spite Bulb. During the transformation, the Sprite Bulb becomes red in colour, and its eyes become white and bear an angry expression. Spite Bulbs are used primarily by the Zokket Army to create a toxic substance called Glohm from their energy. They are also used to power the Gobblick and Sharpcask, and it's implied they are also used to power the Pipegunk. Upon defeating these three, the Spite Bulbs become regular Sprite Bulbs.
Behind the Scenes[]
The name of the Sprite Bulb comes from "light bulb" and "sprite."
