Spring Ball

A Spring Ball is a type of object featured in the Yoshi platformers. It first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Description[]

Whenever a Yoshi bounces on a Spring Ball, it makes a noise and bounces him upward, functioning similarly to Springboards from the Super Mario series. Spring Balls come in two sizes, small and large, with the latter bouncing a Yoshi even higher. Spring Balls are often necessary to reach higher areas. A Spring Ball can sometimes be found within certain Winged Clouds or on top of certain soft patches of ground, and in both cases, a Yoshi can reach the Spring Ball by throwing an egg at whatever it sits behinds.
