Spite Pouch

A Spite Pouch is an item which appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Description[]

Spite Pouches are small, orange bags with some powder on the inside.

Effects[]

By using a Spite Pouch, Mario or his partner is inflicted with the Payback status that counterattacks direct damage to opponents and inflicts half the damage toward them. For example, if Mario uses a Spite Pouch and gets attacked directly by a Spiked Goomba, he will deal 1 damage back since its attack is 2. However, the Spite Pouch will not counter indirect attacks such as magical spells from Magikoopas.
