Bonecoaster is an ally only appearing in World 8-7 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They prevent them from falling in the lava in the air. Bonecoasters don't hurt anyone. If all of the players Ground Pound at the same time, then Bonecoaster will fall into the lava.
The Bonecoaster also appears in New Super Mario Bros. U. In this game it appears in the levels Rock-Candy Mines-6 Thrilling Spine Coaster, and Superstar Road-1 Spine-Tingling Spine Coaster. It's role in this game is identical to how it is in New Super Mario Bros. Wii however this time, it can also carry you across Poison Water or even abyss.
