A Spin Block is a springing platform featured as an object in New Super Mario Bros..

Description[]

Spin Blocks are always found in midair, usually slightly above land. It has a round, orange curve on the bottom and a blue and white-striped spring that Mario or Luigi can be launched from.

Mario or Luigi can step onto a Spin Block to have it spin them around in midair. The player can then press to have Mario or Luigi fly up into the air and slowly spin their way back down. Pressing Down on the Control Pad allows Mario or Luigi to travel down more quickly, by doing a Drill Spin.
