A Spiky Parabuzzy is an enemy that first appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are a hybrid of a Parabuzzy and a Spike Top.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Spiky Parabuzzies are first encountered in Riverside Station. Due to them having spikes on their heads, they cannot be jumped on (unless Mario has the Spike Shield badge equipped). If Mario doesn't have the Spike Shield badge, then the best way to defeat Spiky Parabuzzies is either with the Hammer Throw badge or the special move Earth Tremor. Spiky Parabuzzies also appear in the Pit of 100 Trials in the later floors. When jumped upon, Spiky Parabuzzies lose their wings and become Spike Tops.

In Super Paper Mario, Spiky Parabuzzies are encountered in the much later levels of Overthere Stair and Castle Bleck usually near a pit.

Super Mario Maker

Spiky Parabuzzies can be created in Super Mario Maker and in the 3DS version by adding wings to a Spike Top. They will always fly in a straight line and jumping on them is impossible except without a Goomba's Shoe or Yoshi.
