Spiked Ball Scramble is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 10.
Gameplay[]
The characters have to cross the lava by moving across a series of connected green platforms. They have to avoid Ball 'n' Chains and the lava along the way, as the character is eliminated if they touch either of them. The path sometimes branches off into two, with no way to see ahead because of a door. In such cases, the characters have to choose a side, one of which has no obstacles while the other has Ball 'n' Chains. Later on, there are Giant Ball 'n' Chains which are bigger hence their name, and some of them swing to reach both paths. Whoever is either the last character remaining or the first to reach the end is the winner.
Spiked Ball Scramble has an associated challenge named Slipping Through, in which all four playable characters must reach the goal without falling into the lava or being hit by a Ball 'n' Chain.
