Spiders are an antagonistic species that make a one-time appearance in the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Count Koopula."

Physical description[]
They are large, black arachnids with red legs. Spiders wear a gas mask resembling that of a Snifit's, although they are not shown to spit bullets from it.
Behavior[]
Spiders are shown to make chirping noises.
In The Super Mario Bros. Super Show![]
After jumping down a laundry chute and landing into Count Koopula's basement, Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad are confronted by Spiders. Before the spiders get a chance to attack, Princess Toadstool scares them off by having a Magic Piranha Plant spit two fireballs at them. One of the spiders gets hit in the abdomen and explodes.
