Speed-Eater

Speed-Eater is an unlockable minigame in Yoshi's Island DS.

Layout[]

The minigame takes place in a long room filled with several enemies.

Gameplay[]

The player, who takes control of a Yoshi, who has to make as many eggs from eating enemies, such as Shy Guys, within the time limit. The time limit is 30 seconds in Easy Mode and 60 seconds in Hard Mode. The Hard Mode is unlockable, and it can be unlocked by collecting all eight Baby Coins in World 4. Aside from a longer time limit, there are tougher enemies in Hard Mode, some of which Yoshi cannot eat. At the end, the Yoshi is rewarded extra lives, the number of which depends on how well he did.
