Special 1-1 is the forty-seventh level of Super Mario 3D Land. It is the first level of the optional "special" worlds accessible only after beating the final level of the game's story mode. Is also the first level with the Statue Leaf item.
Layout
The overall layout of Special 1-1 is based nearly entirely on World 2-1. However, the scenery has a dusk look to it, and a few actual changes to the level such as the binoculars originally placed at the beginning are replaced with a Statue Leaf or that the Goombas from World 2-1 are replaced with Spinies. A few Stars can be found in the level to quicken Mario's movements, allowing him to run right through enemies for an easy speed-run. The level's Flagpole is located where it was it was initially in World 2-1, however, several Prongos have been placed all around the level.
Enemies
Enemies that appeared in Special 1-1:
Star Medals
- Star Medal 1: The first Star Medal is found where the Toad from World 2-1 would have put it.
- Star Medal 2: The second Star Medal can be found on the wall with the bouncing platforms. Mario must bounce to the left side of the wall in order to grab it.
- Star Medal 3: At the end of the level, Mario can find a part of land that can take him to wooden boxes that will lead him to the final Star Medal.
