Special 1

Special 1 is the first special world of Super Mario 3D Land as well as the ninth one overall.

Story[]

After defeating Bowser in World 8, Mario learns that Luigi has been kidnapped by Dry Bowser and a green pipe has appeared in World 1. When Mario goes down the pipe, he falls in a world called Special 1. Special 1 is a remake of World 1 but with a different music, sparkles in the background and in the background is a remake of Super Mario World. There is a variety of 5 levels in the world, while each level is somewhat similar to the normal levels. Dry Bowser is the boss in this World and once defeated, Mario frees his beloved little brother, who thanks him for coming to his rescue and accompanies him for the rest of his journey.
