Template:Enemy A Spark is an enemy in Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Advance. If touched, Mario or his friends will lose one point of life; in addition to just being damaged, the screen shakes which may hinder Mario or his friends' chances of escaping from a Spark. Sparks chage from white to black every second. They move around obstacles or walls. Sparks can only be defeated by a Starman or by a thrown vegetable. In later games, however, they are replaced by Amps.
