Sort Stack is a single-player minigame in Mario Party Advance.
Opening[]
The character jumps onto a cart in front of a bookshelf. A sweat drop appears inside a text bubble above them, suggesting that they are overwhelmed.
Gameplay[]
Many of the books are misplaced on a bookshelf, and the player's character has to take whichever books are misplaced and put them into the appropriate shelves. The books must be sorted by color: red books go on the top shelf; blue books go on the third shelf; yellow books go on the second shelf; and green books go on the bottom shelf. The player's character can only hold two books at a time, and the player earns points whenever a shelf is cleared.
In the Shroom City mode, the player's character has to organize only one shelf in 30 seconds to win. In Mini-Game Attack, the object is the same, but the time limit is halved to 15 seconds.
In Play Land, the player's character must organize as many shelves as they can within the time limit. Here, completely organizing a shelf adds a certain number of seconds to the time limit, depending on how many sections a shelf has, each fitting three books. Three seconds are rewarded for clearing a shelf with only one section, six for a shelf with two sections, and nine for a shelf with three sections.
