WarioWare
Not to be confused with Snowball Slalom, a minigame in Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros..

Snowboard Slalom is one of the microgames under Jimmy T.'s Sports folder in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!. It later returns as one of Dr. Crygor's microgames in WarioWare Gold.

Layout[]

There is a ski slope shown from a top-down display, a large snowball in the middle of the course, and the finish line at the bottom.

In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, the left and right sides are green, presumably to represent a forest, and the snowboarder is a black stick figure riding a red snowboard. There is a pink flag to the left and right of the finish line each. In the North American version, the finish line is a long, light yellow tape reading "GOAL" in capital letters. In the European and iQue versions, it is instead a checkered line, which is present in all versions of WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! and the microgame's WarioWare Gold iteration. The original's European and iQue versions also give a magenta border to each flag.

In WarioWare Gold, the graphics are covered, and a line of snow-covered pine trees are placed to the left and right of the course each. The snowball was placed more to the left. The snowboarder instead rides a light green snowboard.

Gameplay[]

Snowboard Slalom WWIMM Europe

Gameplay of Snowboard Slalom in the European version of WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!

The player must steer the snowboarder, coming down from the top, around the snowball and have him cross the goal. In doing so, the player wins at the microgame, and the snowboarder can be seen raising his arms in victory. If the snowboarder hits the snowball or any walls, the player fails at the microgame.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![]

  • Level 1: The goal encompasses the entire bottom edge of the screen.
  • Level 2: The goal is a bit narrow, and it is not always in the center.
  • Level 3: The goal is very narrow, and it is rarely placed in the center.

WarioWare Gold[]

The changes between difficulty levels are different:

  • Level 1: The ski slope is wide, and it has a snowball for an obstacle.
  • Level 2: The ski slope is narrower, and the obstacle was changed to a snowman.
  • Level 3: The ski slope is even narrower, and the obstacle was changed to a bear.

Mission[]

In WarioWare Gold, there is one mission associated with Snowboard Slalom:

  • Snow Way: In Level 1, the player has to clear the microgame after safely going through a narrow passage between the snowball and one of the walls.
