Small Shine Block

The Small Shine Block is a type of block featured in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.

Description[]

A Small Shine Block is a small, light blue block with a Shine Sprite symbol on it. It is associated with an Adult Shine Block. Just as only Mario and Luigi can hit an Adult Shine Block, Small Shine Blocks can only be hit by Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. Unlike Adult Shine Blocks, Small Shine Blocks do not alternate between red or green to indicate which of the brothers should hit it, nor does it have an M or an L on the Shine Sprite symbol, which has eyes possibly because of this.

When either baby hits a Small Shine Block, a Shine Sprite is released to temporarily light up the dark area. When the light fades, Mario or Luigi has to hit an Adult Shine Block again to release the Small Shine Block once again so that the area can be lit back up.
