Slugger (バットくん Bat-kun?) is an enemy which appears in the Yoshi's Island series. They make their debut in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and return in Yoshi's Island DS.
Sluggers are a yellow variant of a Bandit that carries a baseball bat. They have a counterpart named Green Glove, which wears a baseball glove. Sluggers often appear alongside Green Gloves, and together they are named the Baseball Boys.
If a Yoshi throws an egg at a Slugger, it whacks it with its baseball bat as if Yoshi were throwing a baseball. If a Yoshi gets too close to a Slugger, it swings its bat at the Yoshi. A Slugger cannot be eaten, but it can be defeated by either jumping on it three times or by Ground Pounding it.

- These enemies in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island --and the GBA remake Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island-- are similar to Chargin' Chucks (from Super Mario World). Because both of these enemies are an athlete of an American sport and these enemies cannot be eaten by Yoshi.
