Slammer is a Duel minigame in Mario Party Advance.
In Mario Party Advance[]
In Shroom City mode, Slammer is played at the Bowser Toy Shop, during the Bowser's Toys quest. Here, after the player's character passes Bowser's Toad Force V quiz, Bowser challenges the player's character to the minigame.
Gameplay[]
Both characters each begin with five hearts in their health bar, and they must try to decrease their opponent's health to zero by smashing them with the hammer. When a character is selected, they must either attack their opponent or defend from the opponent's attack, depending on who is selected. If the player is selected, their character can smash their opponent with the hammer by pressing 
. In response, the opponent can defend by pressing 
, causing a shield lower onto them and deflecting the hammer onto the player's character, who is smashed and damaged as a result. If a character presses a button too early, they are hammered instead. If a character defends right when the opponent is selected, this automatically causes the opponent to get smashed by the hammer. Whoever loses all of their hearts first loses at the minigame, ranking the other character the winner.
