The Sky Station Galaxy is a galaxy in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is the very first galaxy. Mario is launched there before going to Starship Mario and meeting Lubba. Yoshi's House is there, but Yoshi is not home. The first Luma says that a monster stole all the Power Stars.

Missions

Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum

In this level, Mario traverses through several planets to get to a planet with a giant egg containing Peewee Piranha. Once Mario defeats Peewee Piranha, he gets a Power Star.

Storming the Sky Fleet

This takes Mario on a journey across skyships in order to find a star.

Peewee Piranha's Speed Run

This is the same as Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum, except there is now a timer, and Mario or Luigi must collect clocks to increase the amount of time they have left. The Comet Medal in Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum must be collected before this level can be accessed.

Green Star 1

The first Green Star is floating near the roof of Yoshi's House. It is accessible from Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum.

Trivia

  • In 2010's Official Nintendo Magazine, the Yoshi Star Galaxy is mistaken as the Sky Station Galaxy.
  • The Yoshi House Planet is similar to the first planet in the Good Egg Galaxy, as both are the first planets encountered in their respective galaxies, each planet has a bright and dark side, houses are located on the top halves of both planets, and both planets seem to have their top and bottom halves divided exactly in half, access between which is made possible by green Warp Pipes on both planets.
  • The sign that tells Mario to go around the back in the Peewee Piranha's Speed Run mission on the Yoshi House Planet calls Yoshi a space dragon.
  • When Mario flies to the galaxy the first time the first mission is played, he is flying uncontrollably. If replayed, Mario is flying smoothly.
  • A portion of Sky Station Galaxy's music is remixed and used in Cloudtop Cruise's music in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Additionally, the storm cloud section of the course has a blend of the World 6 Map's theme from Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
