Mario Party

Skewer Scurry is a minigame which appears in Mario Party 10 and returns in Mario Party Superstars. In the former game, it is classified as a 1-vs-Rivals minigame, whereas the latter classifies it as 1-vs-3.

Layout[]

The minigame takes place in an enclosed room with sixteen Skewers, four on each side. The solo character controlling them is at the upper-left corner.

Gameplay[]

The object for the solo character is to eliminate the other three by sending Skewers out at them. Before sending out Skewers, the solo character has to choose which set of Skewers to send out, from any of the four cardinal directions. The other three have to avoid being hit by the Skewers by hiding behind a metal wall, but the direction and which wall to hide behind depends on which side the Skewers are sent. Any character who gets hit by a Skewer is knocked out from the minigame and eliminated.

Skewer Scurry has a Time Limit of 20 seconds. If the solo character eliminates every rival before the time limit expires, they win, but if at least one teammate when the time limit expires, they win.

Controls[]

  • Control Stick or D-Pad: Select which side of Skewers to extend onto the playing field.
  • Control Stick: Move (team)
