The Simian Slam (Buttus bashium) is a technique used by the Kongs in the game Donkey Kong 64. The main function of the Simian Slam is that it allows the certain kong to slam a switch with their face on it. The Simian Slam is first learned by Donkey Kong after completing Cranky Kong's training. When the Simian Slam is used, the kong generates a small, green shockwave upon impact. The Simian Slam can only pound green switches.
Super Simian Slam
The Super Simian Slam is a stronger version of the Simian Slam and it can be learned from Cranky in Fungi Forest. When the Super Simian Slam is used, a medium-sized shockwave generates upon impact. The Kongs can then pound blue switches with faces on them. The Kongs can still pound green switches.
Super Duper Simian Slam
The Super Duper Simian Slam is the strongest version of the Simian Slam and it can be learned from Cranky in Creepy Castle. When the Super Duper Simian Slam is used, the Kong can generate a large, red shockwave that generates upon impact. The Kongs can now pound red switches but can still pound blue and green switches.
- The Simian Slam is arguably similar to the Ground Pound using in the main Mario series.
