A Shymore (originally called Shyster) is an enemy in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its Nintendo Switch remake Super Mario RPG. They are a variant of Shy Guy that work under Mack and the Smithy Gang. After Mario and Mallow get back the Frog Coin from Croco, they return to the Mushroom Kingdom where the town was being overrun by Shysters. Shysters are found bouncing around in homes and chasing Toads around. They are even more common in Princess Peach's Castle. Once Mack is defeated, all of the Shysters will leave.
There is a specific group of Shysters who fight alongside Mack named Bodyguards. They use the same sprite as Shysters but have different stats.
Battle[]
In battle, Shymores mainly attack by hopping at either Mario or Mallow. They can also use a move called Drain that can deal moderate damage to Mario or Mallow.

- According to the Monster Guide in the remake, the vehicles that the Shymores move around on are called "Shyhoppers."
