Shy Guy Says is a minigame from Mario Party and Mario Party 2. It returned in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars.
Gameplay
The players must raise the same-colored flag as the Shy Guy raises. Sometimes, however, the Shy Guy confuses the players with putting up both flags, lowers one, puts down the other, and keeps up the first flag. He will be eliminating the player from the game by cutting the rope holding the barrel the player is in if they raise up the wrong flag, if they are too slow, or they do absolutely nothing at all. In Mario Party 2, if a player picks the wrong flag or is too slow, Shy Guy will shoot their balloon with an arrow.
This mini-game was later remade as Flagging Rights for Mario Party 8, where players used the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to control the character's flags.
Controls
- - Raise white flag
- - Raise red flag
