Shy Guy Says is a minigame from Mario Party and Mario Party 2. It is also set to return in Mario Party: The Top 100.

Gameplay

The players must raise the same colored flag as the Shy Guy raises. Sometimes, however, the Shy Guy confuses the players with putting up both flags, lowers one, puts down the other, and keeps up the first flag. If a player picks the wrong flag or is too slow, the Shy Guy shoots that player's balloon with an arrow or if it's in Mario Party, he will cut the rope holding the barrel the player is in, eliminating him or her from the game.

This mini-game was later remade as Flagging Rights for Mario Party 8, where players used the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to control the character's flags.

Controls

  • A Button - Raise white flag
  • B Button - Raise red flag
