The Shiverburn Galaxy is a fire and ice-themed galaxy in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is similar to the Freezeflame Galaxy in the game Super Mario Galaxy. As with the other Galaxies in World 5 after the Space Storm Galaxy, it is unlocked by getting a Power Star in the Space Storm Galaxy, and completing its first mission does not unlock any new paths. The boss of this galaxy is Prince Pikante.

Music

The Shiverburn Galaxy uses the same music as the Freezeflame Galaxy.

Missions

Prince Pikante's Peppery Mood

Prince Pikante's Peppery Mood is the first mission you are tasked with in shiverburn galaxy. You start off on a fiery volcano planet with laserbots, octoombas, and sinking platforms scattered around, If you parkour to sinking platforms through out the planet then you can get a Cloud Flower , halfway through the planet there is a switch that freezes the planet allowing you to skate across to a launch star that shoots you to the next planet. The next planet you are launched too is a round lava planet with a shape resembling Saturn. You have to jump your way across moving platforms being pushed into a wall of lava, at the end of the planet is a 1-up, right before it is the launch star that launches you to the third planet. The third planet starts off made of ice with meteorites falling creating spots of lava, after defeating fives octo shooters you can carefully make your way across ice crystals falling on the lava to the sling star that launches to a mushroom ship. After you leave the ship you arive at an ice planet resembling a figure eight were you fight the boss Prince Pikante.

Octo-Army Icy Rainbow Romp

The player begins on a Starshroom and is given fifty seconds on the clock. The player has to use a Launch Star to reach the ice rink below and must use a Rainbow Star to defeat all thirty of the Octoombas and Octoguys, which can only be accomplished by skating and by using the other Rainbow Stars if the one the player is using is starting to or has run out. Defeating all of the Octo-Army will reward the player with the Power Star, though failing to defeat the Octo-Army within the time limit will cause the player to lose a life.

The Chimp's Ultimate Skating Challenge

On the starting planet, the player needs to make their way to the Launch Star, but not use it. Behind the Launch Star is a Warp Pipe that will take the player to an Muimui Attack Planet where they will find The Chimp. The Chimp will challenge the player to beat his score of 600 points within 40 seconds. Green Gummits are worth 10 points, Gold Gummits are worth 50, and Spiked Gummits will slow the player down. If the player manages to get over 600 points within the time limit, The Chimp will reward the player with a Power Star. If not, the player can leave through the Warp Pipe and reenter to try again.

Green Star Locations

The Green Stars are encountered in the mission Prince Pikante's Peppery Mood, and are found in each of the three major areas.

1. On the Volcano Planet; Mario can get there with the Cloud suit, though he needs to freeze the Starting Planet and the Volcano Planet beforehand, lest he gets burned by the volcanic eruption.
2. On the Magma Slice Planet; Mario must head to the far wall on the southern half to the right of a 1-Up Mushroom.
3. Mario needs the Cloud suit in his possession for this one, which is located on the Ice Magma Skate Planet. There is a cloud with a 1-Up Mushroom on it, and Mario requires at least one of his clouds to get the Green Power Star. If there aren't any in stock, the Green Star cannot be obtained, forcing him to either restart the level or (if no Checkpoints were activated) commit suicide.

	Magma Boat Ice Planet	The Starting Planet's frozen form, with the same layout, but the platforms no longer sink and the lava ocean is replaced by an ice sheet that Mario can skate upon. Achieved when Mario smashes a Ground-Pound Switch.
Volcano Planet		A planet located in the Starting Planet's indentation. It matches the Starting Planet in climate, with its volcano erupting when the Starting Planet is the Magma Boat Magma Planet and dormant when the Starting Planet is the Magma Boat Ice Planet. If Mario tries to explore the Volcano Planet before freezing the Starting Planet, he will take damage from the lava and/or the eruption. Mario can only get here with the Cloud suit. If he runs out of clouds here and fails to get back, he will be forced to commit suicide to reset the level or leave unless he cleared Bowser's Galaxy Generator with 120 Power Stars prior; if he did do this, he can just grab the green Power Star that appears here to escape. Ice Magma Skate Planet		The first half is an icy road with Meteors creating lava lakes that eventually shrink and vanish, only to be replenished when the Meteors com back. Trivia

• The Galaxy's Starting Planet has a third form in the Galaxy Icon, where it has one half frozen as in the Magma Boat Ice Planet state, with its other half in the Magma Boat Magma Planet state.
• In this galaxy, there is the famous HellValleySkyTrees. In some parts of the galaxy, use first person mode. Then look up into the mountains. To your left, you can see three shadow figures, watching Mario. They will always follow you, if you go into first person mode.
