"You won't want to miss this next performance... After all, these performers will be trying their hardest not to miss YOU!"
Bowser, Super Mario Bros. Wonder

The Seeker Bullet Bill is a monster the Super Mario Bros. Wonder that appears as an enemy. They are a variant of Bullet Bill.

Profile[]

As with regular Bullet Bills, Seeker Bullet Bills are shamed vaguely like rockets, with a relatively cylindrical body. They are grey all over and have two black arms with white hands and yellow eyes. When Seeker Bullet Bills attack, they get red faces. Seeker Bullet Bills come in two sizes: large and small, with their small version portraying them as not much bigger than Mario himself and their large version being about twice as big.

Behaviour[]

Seeker Bullet Bills attack by charging their prey, much like a regular Bullet Bill. Mario can destroy them with any method as well as luring them into each other or Poison. A Seeker Bullet Bill's charge attack can activate Mystery Blocks, break Brick Blocks, and even take out their allies. If they strike a surface they cannot break through, they will stick to that surface to prepare for another attack. Seeker Bullet Bills have a larger variant that can destroy Mystery Blocks instead of just activating them.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder[]

Seeker Bullet Bills are seen in their namesake level, Evade the Seeker Bullet Bills!, which serves as the third course of Castle Bowser.

Behind the Scenes[]

Etymology[]

Seeker Bullet Bills are named after their tendency to chase prey down.

Nomenclature[]

In Japanese, Seeker Bullet Bills are called Cheisu Kirā (written チェイスキラー in Katakana), with the word Cheisu being an English transliteration of "chase" and Kirā (itself a transliteration of "killer") being the regular Bullet Bill's Japanese name. Their name in Chinese is changed to "Chasing Bullet Bill," or Zhuījī Pàodàncìkè (written 追击炮弹刺客), with Pàodàncìkè being the regular Bullet Bill's Chinese name. Their French name, Bill Balle Guidé, essentially calls them "Guided Bullet Bill." German calls them Zielsuch Kugelwilli, meaning "Homing Bullet Bill." In Italian, their name is Pallóttolo a Ricerca, meaning "Seeking Bullet." In Korean, they are called "Yudo Killeo" (written 유도킬러), with Yudo coming from the Japanese word yūdō ("guidance," written 誘導) and Killeo being a Korean transliteration of "killer," which was also used to form the regular Bullet Bill's Japanese and Korean names. Portuguese translates their name literally (Guilherme Bala Buscador), while Russian translates their name as Navodyashchiyesya Bill-pulya (written Наводящийся Билл-пуля). Spanish translates their name as Guillermo Bala Rastreador, with rastreador meaning "tracker."
