The Sealed Room is an optional room in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.
Description[]
The Sealed Room has several red treasure chests. On the west wall, there are two treasure chests and a vase. Near the south wall is a table with a treasure chest, and another one is located nearby, on the floor. Along the east wall, there are four treasure chests and three vases. A chandelier hangs above the steps, which also leads to an area with three additional treasure chests and a mirror hidden behind a cloth. The Sealed Room has a door boarded up with two wooden planks shaped like an X, as well as on the other side of the door, which is in Area Three's hallway. Because of the wooden planks, Luigi cannot use the door on either side of the room.
The Sealed Room is similar to the Hidden Room, as its wall also sparkles with a shimmer of gold dust, and the Hidden Room also has several red treasure chests.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
The Sealed Room becomes first accessible during Area Four. Luigi can only enter the Sealed Room from the rightmost chimney on the Roof. He enters the Sealed Room through the fireplace and does his screaming animation upon entering, followed by a rumbling-like sound. Luigi has to open a treasure chest in particular that causes a Gold Ghost, a Purple Puncher, a Blue Twirler, and a Purple Bomber to all appear simultaneously, unlike the Hidden Room, where a few of the treasure chests each contain a ghost. Additionally, Luigi can optionally capture a Speedy Spirit, which is hidden inside of the chest nearest to the table, and a Gold Mouse has a 20 percent chance of spawning after Luigi enters the room. Once every ghost is caught, a treasure chest with the key to the Sitting Room appears. Luigi can only exit the Sealed Room by examining the mirror with the Game Boy Horror, warping him back to the Foyer.
In the PAL releases' and Nintendo 3DS version's Hidden Mansion, the treasure chest releases eight Purple Punchers.
