Screwtop Shroom

Screwtop Shrooms are an object which first appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Description[]

A Screwtop Shroom is a type of Mushroom Platform with a purple cap and a screw on top of it. They are featured in sets, and Mario or another playable character can spin on a Screwtop Shroom's screw to adjust the height of the other Screwtop Shrooms. If the player's character is not spinning the screw, a Screwtop Shroom slowly returns in the direction they came.

Only four Screwtop Shrooms make an appearance, specifically in World 1-5 just before the Checkpoint Flag.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe[]

Screwtop Shrooms function the same as before. They only appear in one level, Rising Tides of Lava, but are present throughout. Screwtop Shrooms are among the objects to not appears in New Super Luigi U.
