Scratch card

A Scratch card is a bonus feature in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake.

Description[]

Scratch cards allow Mario, Luigi, or Bowser to receive a refund for some of their coins spent while shopping. Having a higher 'Stache or Horn statistic will affect the player's chance of winning. After purchasing an item from the shop, the player may be given the option of scratching a scratch card. A Mushroom refunds 10% of spent coins, a Fire Flower refunds %20, and a Star refunds %40. Scratching a Fawful will not reward anything.

Types[]

There are three different types of scratch cards, depending on the 'Stache and Horn statistics. The 'Stache number represents Mario and Luigi's combined score for the statistic, as indicated below.
