Saturday Supercade was a television series created by Ruby-Spears Productions. The series made the first appearance of Donkey Kong and Mario on TV and the only television appearance of Pauline, Donkey Kong Jr., and Bones, Donkey Kong Jr.'s best friend. It is the first time that the Mario-related media is adapted into an animated television cartoon, predating The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! by six years. The series ran from September 17, 1983 to December 1, 1984.
