Mario rolling in the Sand Kingdom of Super Mario Odyssey
Roll is a move available in Super Mario 3D Land, Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Run and Super Mario Odyssey. In order to perform it, the player must crouch and then either press the Y button or shake the controller. When shaking the controller to roll, Mario will continually get yellow boosts while rolling, increasing his speed.
